Nestled in the green belt of Düsseldorf, opposite the Südpark, is the Botanical Garden of the Heinrich Heine University on the Himmelgeister Rheinbogen. The impressive centerpiece of the outdoor area is an 18 meter high, delicate domed building - a cold house measuring over 1,000 square meters that houses around 400 plant species from areas with warm, dry summers and rainy winters. The dome is complemented by a modern greenhouse facility.
