Since the castle is privately owned by the royal family, you cannot visit it from the inside. But a quick visit to the beautiful, spacious castle park with its diverse green areas and exhibitions is all the more worthwhile.

Today the royal family uses Solliden as their summer residence; Crown Princess Victoria traditionally celebrates her birthday here on July 14th. "Since King Carl Gustaf was born, he has spent every summer here," explains Pernilla Klintberg from Solliden Castle. He inherited the residence from his great-grandfather when he was four years old.
