A scenic great transition from the lovely Mattengelände in the south to the serious glacier landscape of the Dachstein north side.
Built in 1904-05 and called the "Linzer Weg". A path that is not accessible to everyone. It is a so-called climb, so sure-footedness and appropriate mountain experience - after all, you are in a high mountain region - absolutely necessary.
The "Linzer Steig" with its complicated path leads over the Hohe Hochkesseleck, 2260 m, and should be committed only in safe weather.
