Lac Blanc (1055 m) is a crystal clear mountain lake in the heart of the Vosges, near the Col du Calvaire and the Route des Crêtes. Surrounded by dense forests and granite rock faces, it offers spectacular views over the Alsace plain and, in clear weather, even as far as the Alps. The lake is a popular destination. In summer it is an oasis of peace and nature, while in winter it serves as a ski resort. An absolute must for anyone who wants to experience the rugged beauty of the Vosges.
