Exactly as advertised, or you might think of it as a mud geyser or use another common name for it: Mudpot. Technically this is a resurgent dome, because the ground is actively shifting up or down in relation to the magma below. For most visitors' purposes however, this is a pot of bubbling mud that smells like rotten eggs and sometimes "erupts" high enough to coat tall trees in its acidic contents.
