Over the Top

Bus 131 to begin and 130 for return. A great trail with limited views, but that does mean that it is shaded. Tarmac from the airport lookout to visitor centre, and lots of steps. Cafe at each end.

Bit early in the season. There was still snow in places and the trail markers were still being put out.

Second half was much more exposed to wind and big drops off the side of the path, but it is clearly marked.

Quick wander along the rover and up to the fort and along the city walls. Great views.

Shouldn't have been able to get to the Roman Bridge, due to consttruction but there is a path down by the river. Descent path from the ridge was pretty hairy, the vegetation disguised some of the drops.
