The "Ways of St. James" in the Rhineland lead from the episcopal city of Cologne with the relics of the Three Kings (or alternatively from Bonn) to the episcopal city of Trier (with the relic of the "Holy Rock") and offer more than just a hiking experience - mostly - beautiful paths, but also lead past many crossroads, chapels and churches that invite you to spiritual contemplation.

On the way you meet the Way of St. James in the Rhineland at the Vierherrenstein. The rulers of Jünkerath, Kronenburg, Schmidtheim and probably Blankenheim met at the more than 500-year-old boundary stone made of basalt to inspect the border.
The Way of St. James continues from there to Blankenheim in the direction of Cologne.

This Way of St. James is one of the ″ Paths of the St. James Pilgrims in the Rhineland ″, which was developed, marked and documented by the German St. James Society (DSJG) together with the Rhineland Regional Council (LVR). The route begins either in Cologne or Bonn, leads via Bad Münstereifel and Trier to Perl / Schengen at the border triangle of Germany, Luxembourg and France and then on to Metz in France.
