Bike Touring Highlight
The Old Stock Exchange is probably the most beautiful and famous building on the Grand Place of Lille. With its bright red and lavishly decorated façade and the small red turret dominated by the magnificent building with the beautiful courtyard on the east side of the square.
The architect and carving master Julien Destrée was commissioned to design a building that was able to reach the Dutch stock exchange in particular. In 1653, the architectural jewel of 24 individual houses was completed - until today the most expensive building in the city.
