Looking down to Manchester in the West, the Dark Peak to the East and the distant wind farms to the North, this is a brilliant viewing point at 267m. The Grade II listed tower replaced an original 1751 building in 1863 to commemorate the marriage of HRH Albert Edward to Princess Alexandra, and gives its name to the hill.
