Wolfratshausen found its first mention as "Wolueradeshusun" in a document of King Henry II of June 30, 1003, at the court of Regensburg in connection with the delimitation of a hunting area. From the 12th century, rafts from Wolfratshausen to Munich. Mainly building materials were transported.
