It is best to visit the Großer Ahornboden in autumn, when the maple trees change color. A wonderful natural spectacle! The visit is for the whole family. There are enough parking spaces, play opportunities for children and endless restaurants. You can also spend the night there and take day trips to the surrounding peaks. There is something for everyone.

Tip: The Alpengasthof also has a wellness area and a camp for hikers; 34 euros a night with breakfast and use of the sauna. 😊 That might be good, so in between on a multi-day tour!

A special place even in summer. My tip: From the Plumsjoch or on the descent towards Eng you have a fairytale view of the Ahornboden and the valley around Eng. Dreamy perspective.
