The Col de la Pierre du Moëllé is a hidden gem of the Alpes vaudoises. You can start either from Leysin or from La Comballaz near Les Mosses to get there. In both cases, the experience is the same: picturesque pastures, a small deserted road and a last steep kilometer that leads to a café at the top.
Tip: if you want to go down the other side to reach the Lac de l'Hongrin, don't forget to check the website hongrin.ch before leaving. This is a military zone that is closed at certain times of the week.
