This Beacon Hill is named the same as another hill by the same name in the Ivinghoe Hills... don't confuse them!

This hill (at 252m) has a Bronze Age bowl barrow on its summit, and there used to be a beacon here, as you would expect. It is also where Cymbeline's Castle was where the Celtic King of the Britons Cunobeline according to legend, made a last stand against the Roman conquest of Britain in a fort located on the hill.

Nowadays, there are fantastic views from up here in any direction you look!
