The square hosts the Portale del Mistero, a work by Riccardo Grazzi from 1999. It also hosts the Torre Azzurra. A few meters of track have been left visible to recall the iron coming from nearby Elba and the shuttle to the foundry carried out by small wagons.

Piazza Nicola Guerrazzi, universally known as Piazza a Mare, represents the beating heart of the Follonica seafront. This spectacular urban terrace connects the city center (linking Via Roma and Corso Italia) directly to the beach and the waters of the gulf.
Thanks to its elevated position, the square offers a magical optical illusion, giving the impression of extending directly over the water to ideally connect with the horizon and the Island of Elba. It is absolutely one of the most photographed and beloved panoramic spots for admiring the sunsets of the Maremma coast.
