The Balloon of Alsace is located south of the Vosges mountain range and peaks at an altitude of 1,247 meters. Very clear, it offers a 360-degree panorama of the Jura chain, the Black Forest, the Belfort gap, or even Mont Blanc on a clear day.

The Alsace balloon marks one of the ends of the ridge line which separates the valleys of Doller in Alsace and Haute-Moselle in Lorraine.
