The cycleway is protected by gates like this along the whole path. Usually in correspondence of road crossings or when passing through private land with right of passage.

I rode it on my night ride 30th October 19 and a lot of the old posts / gates and ,pinch-points have been removed or widened, they also improved the track surface, making it not so wet and safer to ride, even in the dark.
