The town of Creglingen, as a neighboring municipality of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, received town rights in 1349. Three defense towers and a piece of the city wall still adorn the old town area today.

The tourist offer is varied: hiking and cycling through the Creglingen side valleys of the Tauber.
