Baredine Cave is a karst phenomenon, a geomorphological monument of nature and the first speleological site in Istria opened to tourism, which has been open to visitors since 1995.

Baredine Cave is located in western Istria near Nova Vas between Poreč, Višnjan and Tar, and is only 5 km away from the coast. It is surrounded by rich prehistoric sites, Istrian castles, antique villas, medieval monasteries and still preserved natural landscapes.
+++ Creation
The karst terrain in which the cave was formed is a sea sediment covered with red earth (terra rossa) from the Cretaceous period (100 million years old).
