As of May 2020, the water level in the Niers is so low that boats cannot pass this weir. Instead, the canoes must be lifted out of the water at the jetty in front of the weir, carried up the path, and carried to the jetty behind the weir where they can be lowered back into the water. However, since there are some rapids here, it is not possible to enter directly here either. Instead, there is a small cove at a pole on the opposite side of the Niers from where you can get back on the boat.
