What would Torekov be without the shed, the little house with all the nameplates of former ships? The shed has been a gathering point since the 18th century, especially for the villagers. Here, one can imagine that in the past, women waited anxiously for the men to return home with good load, good catch and good health. Here one could protect oneself, as it is called "school" in Skåne, from storms and rain. Here, sailors met and did business, one of the reasons why the hiding place was also referred to as the stock market. Later, the term "holding the stock market" had other meanings as well - solving problems or telling each other news and stories.

The hiding place is an exciting place to look out for Torekov's story. On the walls hang nameplates of ships that were destroyed in the area of Torekov or brought here for scrapping. Vessels that could no longer be used were bought piece by piece and taken apart. Then the parts were auctioned, the former recycling system. It is said that old houses in the Torekov area, including chicken stables and swine stools, could be built partly from fine, expensive wood, which was requested at a wreck auction long ago.

In the 1900s, people began to seriously collect the nameplates in the shed. The collection there is Sweden's largest. Also, the Galjonfiguren, the wooden figures that used to have before the ships, make curious.
