Lascaux presents itself in the new, beautiful Center International de l'Art Pariétal: more than 8,500 square meters of exhibition space, including a completely new replica of the grotto and six exhibition rooms that tell the story of the discovery of Lascaux, the modern replica and show his position in the worldwide cave painting.

With the Lascaux Cave with its extremely impressive cave paintings, the discoverers wrote cultural and archaeological history in 1940 that reached far beyond France. As part of the "Vézère Valley: archaeological sites and cave paintings", Lascaux is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site (since 1979). It is no longer possible to visit the original, but this museum with a faithful replica gives visitors a glimpse of a bygone world.
