Seele Pond in Kälblingwald Nature Monument

A fen biotope in the forest, idyllic. In addition to information on the origins of this natural monument, there is also a small covered rest area.

The small pond in the forest is called "Soul in the Kälblingwald" and was naturally created in the subsoil by means of solution processes (gypsum and Lettenkeuper). It is considered a natural monument and is a valuable biotope.

... is located near Höpfigheim (a district of Steinheim/Murr) in the Ludwigsburg district of Baden-Württemberg.
- Easily accessible from the parking lot at the GSV Höpfigheim
- Wetland and spawning and habitat for amphibians
- I think it's great that there's an information board (unfortunately, these are mostly missing from "natural monument" signs) that provides information about this biotope
- Located in the middle of the forest
