From up here you have a comprehensive overview of the Wasgau with its gently rolling hills and dreamy clearings. The castle was destroyed in the Peasants' War in the 16th century and has not been rebuilt.

    Admission free.

Under the castle lures the Cramehaus with Palatinate specialties and selected Palatinate wines. For the little ones there is a playground and a small animal enclosure with goats, geese and sheep.

For me one of the most beautiful castles in the Palatinate Forest. Built as Reichsburg within sight of the castle Trifels, even today impress the remains of the mighty walls.

You can find out more in an interesting video of the Palatinate original Norbert Heugel

Lindelbrunn Castle (also called Lindelbol, Lindelbronn or Lindelborn) is a medieval ruin of a rock castle near Vorderweidenthal in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of the Southern Wine Route.

It is believed that the name of the castle can be traced back to the castle fountain, where a large flowering linden tree stood.
