This sprout of the Lindenberg (521 meters), projecting far to the southeast, flows around the Pegnitz deep in the valley in a bend, the "Pegnitzknie" near Hohenstadt. The Pegnitz changes the direction of flow from north-south to east-west. The "rock" is certainly one of the most beautiful vantage points in the area - not only on the underlying location, but also in the inflowing side valleys and their -, these numerous surrounding mountains.
