There has been a ferry crossing the river from Helford Village to Helford Passage since medieval times. Crossing the river affords the opportunity to admire many types of fish, birds and plants. Helford Ferry Boats run regular services. For more information, visit helford-river-boats.co.uk.

For foot passengers and cyclists only, this little boat will take you from Helford to Helford Passage or vice versa, which saves a long detour around the estuary.

From the Helford side, all you have to do is open the circular sign to hail the water taxi from the other side.
