The Sörve Lighthouse, on the southern tip of the Sworbe Peninsula, is the second oldest in Estonia after the Kõpu Lighthouse. Originally built as a wooden structure in 1646, it went through several reconstructions, including a stone construction in 1650 and an elevation in 1807. Destroyed in World War II, it was rebuilt in its current reinforced concrete form in 1960. The lighthouse not only marks the history of maritime trade, but also provides a wonderful backdrop for cyclists and visitors who want to explore the rugged beauty of the coast.
