The house bush was until the Middle Ages seat of the noble family Syberg to the bush. In 1507, the bush mill is mentioned for the first time. In 1846 a flour and barley factory was built on the site of the bush mill. After the old mill building burnt down at the turn of the century, it was rebuilt in 1901 in its present form. The plant was used for the nearby paper mill. In the mid-1950s, the mill ceased operations. In the 1980s, the conversion to today's use as a hydroelectric power plant.
