In Härdtle, a small pasture near Stuttgart-Weilimdorf, Duke Carl Eugen had a pheasantry built shortly after construction of Schloss Solitude in 1767. The forest was developed in a star shape according to the French model. In this classic star system, 8 hunting lanes go from all directions in a central point.The today still visible buildings, which are under monument protection, developed starting from 1818 under king William I .:The neoclassical 12-cornered pavilion, which lies at the center of Jagdalleen, served as a residence for the ladies during the hunt.
