Fasanengarten Pavilion

In Härdtle, a small pasture near Stuttgart-Weilimdorf, Duke Carl Eugen had a pheasantry built shortly after construction of Schloss Solitude in 1767. The forest was developed in a star shape according to the French model. In this classic star system, 8 hunting lanes go from all directions in a central point.The today still visible buildings, which are under monument protection, developed starting from 1818 under king William I .:The neoclassical 12-cornered pavilion, which lies at the center of Jagdalleen, served as a residence for the ladies during the hunt.

After the First World War around 1918, the "Royal Court Hunting Office" was dissolved, and made the forest accessible to all citizens. Meanwhile, the pheasant garden with barbecue areas and playground has become a popular recreational area.
