For me it is a good place to get water, the fountain at the beginning of the cycle path is strategic for position!

A convenient cycle-pedestrian path runs alongside this small pre-Alpine lake of glacial origin, which is much smaller than the surrounding lakes of Pusiano, Annone and Alserio. An interesting feature of this lake is the absence of visible tributaries along its perimeter, which suggests to all scholars of this area the presence of underwater springs of karst origin, a hypothesis compatible with the fact that the entire valley in which it lies is formed by limestone rocks (Domaro limestone). A little less than a year after my last visit, I chose Lake Segrino again for my first bike ride after 3 months of forced stop... The lake is always magical and the cycle/pedestrian path that runs alongside it is very comfortable (but be careful of the gravel and pedestrians!).
