The center of mocking is the late Gothic church built in 1519, which has a Romanesque choir. Inside, some baroque changes were made.
The first documentary mention took place between 1181 and 1214. The place was written by 1200 Mocren and 14 years later Mogkran. The Sorbian meaning is inhabitants of a wet area, the Italian as much as donkey wardens, as the neighboring town of Heiligenleichnam was a place of pilgrimage. In 1213, Emperor Frederick II granted the German Order of Knights in Altenburg the landlord rule over the place.
Over the next two centuries, the manorial estate passed to Ehrenberg manor.
