Poplar Avenue (Scheibenhardter Weg)

The street popularly called "Pappelallee" (Scheibenhardter Weg) connects the districts Weiherfeld and Rüppurr directly with each other and leads mostly past the fields behind the Rüppurrer outdoor pool and a small garden area. From her go some dirt roads, which are usually good shortcuts within the district or nice, mostly car-free routes along the Alb to Ettlingen or the Aussiedlerhöfen are. Not car-free is the road that leads directly through the allotment garden colony (Gottlob-Schreber-Weg). There are two, especially with residents of the nearby district, very popular and well-attended restaurants, the Magpie nest and the garden gnome. Also there is the Baden fine smokehouse Buchenrauch, which offers their goods for sale on the spot.

The Scheibenhardter Weg begins in Rüppurr on Rastetter Straße and leads directly to Weiherfeld, where it ends at Belchenplatz. (Scheibenhardt itself is still a good distance away.)

Poplar avenues always remind me of Tuscany.
