On the southern outskirts of Freimersdorf is the former Fronhof Abbey. Already in the 13th century the possession of the church is mentioned. After some destruction, he was rebuilt in 1761 by Brauweiler abbot Amandus Herriger. After 1811, the farm was privately owned.
