Peace Reflection Point – Sculpture of Reaching Hands

This 6th Point of Reflection: Peace, of the Way of St. Francis invites us to reflect on peace—both within ourselves and in the world around us. Inspired by the words of St. Francis, who considered peace one of the highest virtues, this place is a symbol of harmony and understanding.The peaceful natural surroundings, the sound of the water, and the chirping of birds create a meditative atmosphere that invites contemplation. Two sculptures holding hands were donated by the parish of St. Peter and symbolize the worldwide desire for peace. Holy Scripture speaks to this through a passage from the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:9): "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."

Along this contemplative forest path, suggestive works of art made by South Tyrolean artists trace the Canticle of the Sun by Francis of Assisi.
