This cross was erected out of gratitude for the happy return of Bernhard Borgmann and Mrs. Maria from World War II.
Inscription on the back of the base:
"Like to wear your cross, then it will surely carry you to the eternal home. And if you grumble, then it presses hard and never gives way afterwards. If you throw it off, believe me, another heavier one is approaching you ”.
