On the southwest coast of Anglesey is this hidden gem of a nature reserve. Expect golden beaches, sea views, forest walks, cycle tracks and even a dedicated running circuit. There's a good amount of parking and plenty to keep you going all day.

Newborough Forest and Warren is one of the best places in Britain for spotting the rarely-seen red squirrel. The area, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a national nature reserve, is home to myriad species of birds, plants, insects, and mammals, too.
