Tips
The President-Thoma-Weg is a hiking trail on the west side of the Kandel (1241m). It is one of the most beautiful routes on the Kandel and leads from Denzlingen to the Kandelspitze. The President-Thoma-Weg begins at the junction of the Glotter and the Lossele at the foot of the Einbollen Denzlingen. The trademark of the hiking trail is the blue diamond. Then it goes over the Wissereck (402m), Kranzkopf, Thomashütte Kandel up to the Kandelpyramid at 1241 meters. The President-Thoma-Weg is named after Emil Thoma (1854-1932), formerly a university professor at the University of Freiburg and from 1905 to 1920 President of the Black Forest Association.
