Truly one of the most evocative archaeological sites in the world. The more than 1200 steps that separate us from the summit of the Lion's Rock are worth being traveled because they exude history and the path is rich in history. I recommend doing it early in the morning and stocking up on water. It is also essential to have a local guide to understand the history of the place in detail.

There are different ways to get to the entrance of the ascent to the rock fortress. It is a bit longer along the river but much more relaxed and away from the tourist crowds. Basically, the rise on the weekdays, then it is much quieter.
