A brilliant wide, red gravel track through the forest that takes you past the outer ramparts and moat of the Sigiriya Fort. It all forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, though by the minimal number of people here, you wouldn't have guessed.
For an adventure off the bike, don your trainers to take the 1,200 steps up to the top of Sigiriya Rock, showcasing the old fortress on top and far-reaching views.
