Derker Gate is the only surviving gate in the city fortifications of Brilon. It was built around 1700. Engelbert of Cologne reinforced the city against the Archdiocese of Paderborn and Waldeck with a city wall. Of the four city gates, only this is preserved. It is named after the deserted Dederinghausen.

Very nice old city gate (one of the former four). Behind it is a beautiful old half-timbered house.
