At the top of Mount Barro (581 m) there is an ancient medieval village, born around the church of Santa Maria Annunziata. Probably built on the ruins of a castle, this church preserves an apse with a stone dated 1484.The houses, made of local stone and close to each other, were once home to farmers who cultivated fields and vineyards. The last inhabitant left the village in 1977, marking the end of its rural life.Today, every 1st May, Mount Barro comes alive with the traditional Fiora festival. This popular event, inspired by the ancient gesture of lovers exchanging bouquets of flowers, celebrates the community's first spring outing, transforming the village into a place of celebration and memories.
