The Dienheim wine village is located on the Rhine Terrace, between Mainz and Worms in Rheinhessen. Winegrowing has a long tradition here, with approximately 550 hectares of vineyards cultivated in the Dienheim area.
The historic town entrance stone was created using an image of the Roman gravestone, the so-called Silius Stone, found in the Dienheim area. It is intended to convey to the viewer that Dienheim was built on Roman foundations, as the Roman town of Bonconica was believed to have been located in the Dienheim area.
