    From Oberstorf you can easily drive up very far. Then comes a beverage fountain hut. The entrance to the pass begins with a steep hiking trail, where the bike has to be lifted over some high stones. At the top again very steep over the 10-15 steps. After the stairs is a curve with an exposed 5m long narrow piece. The sign is there too. After that, the path is not as bad as it is always described, as it is wide enough. Lifting the bike over the stairs is also quite unspectacular. Can also be done with a 25kg e-bike if you can hold the bike in your hand for a few seconds and hold on to the railing of the stairs with the other hand. Pushing aids do almost all the work, just don't work on the stairs because it's too steep there, you have to be able to push or carry them up with muscle power.
