8/8/25: I walked the path yesterday, a good 3 km to just before the tunnel entrance, which I was looking for but couldn't find, so I retraced my steps. The "path" is the width of a dirt track and is unmarked. In some places, where you have to climb over stones/rocks, it's difficult to find, and there are several places where the path is buried under scree. In many places, the path slopes more or less vertically up one side and down the other. You should definitely not walk here: (i) alone (ii) in very hot temperatures (little shade) (iii) if you're afraid of heights, or (iv) if the stones might be even slightly slippery.

The view is fantastic but I didn't walk the trail. The beginning of the trail was too adventurous for me. It looked very narrow and dangerous with lots of loose rocks.
