An enchanting alpine scenery, between emerald waters and grassy basins. Towards the north-west, the background created by the long Iron Ridge adds a further element to this already extraordinary environment. Slender tracks on open ground connect the three lakes of glacial origin. Optional, but recommended, the climb to Monte Lastroni, a lived mountain, marked by the continuous presence of war testimonies. The whole area represented the Italian defense line during the First World War. It is said that, following the defeat of Caporetto, in order not to leave a howitzer installed in the area in Austrian hands, it was thrown to the bottom of the largest lake. Scuba diving carried out during the 70s brought to the surface different material, but no trace of the howitzer to date.
