The animal enclosure in Wolfsburg

The animal enclosure is idyllically located in the decommissioned quarry on Wolfsburg Klieversberg, next to the hospital of Wolfsburg.

The quarry on Klieversberg belongs geologically to the so-called Allertal Line or to the Hehlinger Graben. The west side of the quarry consists of more than 10m high wall of gray lime and marlstone, which was deferred in the Lower and Middle Kimmeridge period. This formation is too often not found. Therefore, the quarry is today a natural monument dar.

The animal enclosure is open daily from 8:30 to 17:30 for old and young.
