Trauttmansdorff Thrones – View of Algund and Merano

The perfect place to rest. From here you have an incredibly beautiful view of Merano and the valley, in the background the mountains, just fantastic. For resting there are also tables and benches.

Pause briefly and enjoy the view of the town of Lagundo. The Mediterranean climate in the valley floor and the fresh alpine air in Algund's Vellau and Aschbach districts harmonize well. It quickly goes uphill from Algund, the Taser cable car, the Vellau chairlift or the Hochmuth cable car ensure real flights of fancy and are an invitation to hiking enthusiasts, recreational enthusiasts and alpinists. Particularly worthwhile on holiday in Algund are the Algunder Waalweg or the Meraner Höhenweg or a trip to nearby Meran. The Vinschger cycle path, which leads through Algund in South Tyrol, invites you to gentle discovery tours.

Shortly before the serpentines to the departure for Meran branches off here a small way to this great vantage point. Keep your eyes open so as not to miss the turn.
