Trauttmansdorffer Thronsessel - Blick auf Algund/Meran

Stop for a moment and enjoy the view of the village of Algund. Mediterranean climate in the valley bottom and alpine fresh air in Algunds fractions Vellau and Aschbach harmonize well. From Algund you can hike uphill quickly, the cable car Taser, the chairlift Vellau or the cable car Hochmuth provide true high-altitude flights and are an invitation to hikers, pleasure-seekers and alpinists. Especially worthwhile on holiday in Lagundo are the Algunder Waalweg or the Merano Höhenweg or a trip to nearby Merano. The Val Venosta bike trail, which leads through Algund in South Tyrol, invites to gentle discovery tours.

The perfect place to rest. From here you have an incredibly beautiful view of Merano and the valley, in the background the mountains, just fantastic. For resting there are also tables and benches.

Serpentines on the Radlerautobahn and beautiful resting places. That's what I call a great architecture to linger. Brilliant. You can not miss that.

Shortly before the serpentines to the departure for Meran branches off here a small way to this great vantage point. Keep your eyes open so as not to miss the turn.

To see the chairs 🪑 you first have to drive through the infamous flower tunnel. Passing the chairs, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Merano basin. The next highlight is not long in coming. Downhill it goes down serpentines and after a few curves a beautiful place with relaxation factor is reached.
All of this has to be seen.
