Travemünde lies at the mouth of the Trave in the Baltic Sea, hence the name "Travemünde". This small charming town on the Trave has about 14,000 inhabitants. Nowhere else on the Baltic coast does another place promise so much variety. Many events, especially the Travemünder Woche, attract thousands of visitors to Travemünde.
On the new beach promenade on the long fine sandy beach, it is wonderful to stroll. Many benches invite you to linger.
