The fortress Kufstein is the landmark of the city of Kufstein and is one of the most impressive medieval buildings in Tyrol. Often the fortress is also falsely called the fortress Geroldseck.
It lies on the fortress mountain above the city Kufstein on a 90 m high rock directly at the Inn and is attainable by inclined elevator.
