The former Franciscan monastery was built in IV. It was founded by Béla on the island of Rabbits, presumably at the same time as the Dominican convent and the royal house founded for his daughter St. Margaret. The remains of the monastery can still be seen today, the remaining ruins of which are the remains of a Gothic church, the remains of one of the side walls, the monastery cemetery and the cemetery chapel. The preservation of the ruins was helped by the fact that most of the ruins of the monastery were built into the palatine villa built in 1796, which was later converted into a palatine hotel. The remains of the hostel were demolished after 1945. As a result of the smaller archaeological excavations initiated at that time, some new, unexplored details of the monastery were excavated.
