In front of the panorama of a Pannonian landscape with fields and forests, in the "Wiesengasse" stands "Birdman", a four meter high permanent outdoor sculpture made of aluminum. With his outstretched arms, the huge "Mandl" or "scarecrow" welcomes the visitors. The birdman also forms a counterpoint to the planned second Japan House, the Hara House of Hiroshi Hara, which is to be built at the other end of the field. Creator of the "Birdman" is Karl A. Meyer.
